[紐西蘭旅遊] 基督城紙教堂 | 一座用紙搭建的臨時教堂！Cardboard Cathedral

位於紐西蘭基督城的紙教堂（Cardboard Cathedral），是基督城聖公會教區的過渡教堂，用以替代在2011年基督城地震中受損嚴重的基督城大教堂（ChristChurch Cathedral）。這座教堂由日本建築師坂茂（Shigeru Ban）設計，於2013年8月開放，坐落於前聖約翰浸信會教堂的原址，即拉提默廣場（Latimer Square）赫里福德街（Hereford Street）和馬德拉斯街（Madras Street）的交界處，距原本的大教堂位置幾個街區。

2011年，基督城遭受了一場破壞性的地震，導致185人死亡（其中有一位台灣人），以及許多歷史建築受損，其中包括著名的基督城大教堂。

然而，在廢墟中，建築師坂茂（Shigeru Ban）運用他的環保理念和創新設計，打造了一座以紙管、木材和塑料為主要建材的臨時教堂，為基督城帶來了希望與重生。

此教堂於2013年8月開放，約可容納700人，可以用50年喔！！超級酷，這座被稱為「紙教堂」的建築（又稱紙板教堂、過渡教堂 Transitional Cathedral），以其獨特的設計和材料展示了創新的力量，為受地震影響的城市注入新的活力與新希望。

The Paper Church is open every day, with general visiting hours as follows:

一般的教堂都會在週日進行禮拜活動，因此若是純觀光的旅客，建議選擇週一到週六去喔！

Monday to Saturday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (sometimes 4:00 pm)
Sunday: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
注意：開放時間可能會因節假日或特殊活動而有所更改，建議在前往之前查看紙教堂的官方網站或聯繫工作人員以確認最新的開放時間。

The Design and Construction of the Transitional Cathedral

在基督城的重建過程中，日本建築大師班坂茂（Shigeru Ban）免費提供了紙教堂的設計。他被譽為「災難建築師」，並與當地建築公司Warren和Mahoney合作。

這座A字形風格、高24米的新教堂使用96根每根重達1100磅的「紙管」建造，搭建在20英尺（6.1米）長的集裝箱之上，於2012年7月24日開始建造。

紙教堂的設計簡單而富有哲學，將環保材料融入傳統建築風格，賦予紙教堂新生命。

紙管作為結構支柱，相互交錯，巧妙地支撐起建築的主體；木材和透明塑料則構成了它的牆壁與屋頂，讓自然光線洒落在神聖的空間裡。

這些原本被視為脆弱的材料，在坂茂的巧手之下，變得堅固而耐用，見證了人類創造力的奇跡。

屋頂由聚碳酸酯製成，由八個集裝箱組成的牆壁支撐。地基為混凝土板。坂茂最初希望紙管作為結構元素，但當地生產商無法生產足夠厚度的紙管，進口紙管的方案也被拒絕，建造曾一度遇到困難。

最後，96根紙管由層壓木樑加固，並塗上防水聚氨酯和阻燃劑。紙管之間保留了2英寸的縫隙，讓光線可以穿透進入教堂。教堂的彩繪玫瑰窗以三角形彩繪玻璃取代。
